I've been a fool...

A SCRAPPIN' FOOL! I got THREE pages done yesterday AND finished one I started the day before - woot woot! That NEVER happens in a days time so I was feeling guuud:) Especially since I worked til noon, did laundry, cooked dinner and taxi'd Brook around to practices after school too. I'll be updating my slide show soon:) Have a beautiful day!

Rain!

We have a chance everyday this week for rain! OHHH we sooo need it. We are still under a burn ban because of the dry conditions. I've made a few new pages and I need to add them to my slide show soon. Maybe I can work on that in a day or two. Have a beautiful week!

It's Friday!

Happy Friday to ya! We had a very severe storm blow in early this morning. High winds knocked out most of the power to the North side of town - not so fun when you have to get kids ready for school in the dark! We never lost power, but Jenny (my sister) called me at 7:30 this morning and hers was out.
Yesterday, Jenny and I worked overtime yesterday. I had this brilliant idea to paint the church nursery - I'm so glad she showed up or I would still be there. I have blisters on my hands this morning LOL! That took up 8 hours of my day yesterday and then it left me 30 minutes to get the kids home to Dad and I was back out the door to teach aerobics - we ended up just walking a couple of miles.
SO, I hope today will be a low key day. Brook has a school social after lunch. I'm in charge of that, and then Austin has a t-ball game this afternoon - if the weather permits. So we'll see:) I hope you get a good headstart on your weekend!

Happy Monday!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...ok it's a bit chilly this morning, but I'm optimistic! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful Easter - I was a little aprehensive, the weather man talked like there would be a flood, but after the early morning showers, the sun came out and it proved to be a wonderful day. I got to spend it with some of the most important people in my life and everyone was happy and healthy - what more is there?

Blessed

Today was an emotional day as Mom and I went to Wichita Falls to a funeral of a family friend. As I looked around, I saw so many familiar faces, but it had been years since I had seen most of them so I wasn't positive about anyone! It's crazy how you "remember" silly things, being a part of someone's story and then you look up - some 20 years later - and everyone is grown with kids of their own. They have their own stories and their own lives - and you are no longer a part of their world, only a part of their history. If today doesn't speak volumes as to why I am passionate about scrapbooking, then I could never explain it. My goal is to leave my stories, the big ones and the little ones, the happy ones and the not-so happy ones, the daily moments that distinguish who I am and from whence I came. I'm so incredibly blessed and I could never put into words the gratitude I feel for every single individual who has crossed my path...that includes you. Have a blessed day.
